This winter, The Yards has transformed into a twinkling festive haven in the heart of Covent Garden. Beneath the light of our glowing lanterns, local choirs, harp strings, Irish music and dancing bring the community together in true Christmas spirit.

The Yards Lantern Garden is back this Christmas, with giant lanterns filling the skies and sparkling real fir trees lining the courtyards.
Our towering hero tree returns to Mercer Walk (bigger, brighter and more beautiful than ever!) complete with new gold decorations to mark the start of the festive season. The tree is topped with a neon harp and in a barrel base, signifying a warm welcome to our newest addition to The Yards, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery London.

ST MARTIN’S COURTYARD
Join us for the harmonious sounds of Sing Space Covent Garden Choir, blessing The Yards with musical theatre audience favourites and seasonal classics. In between choir performances, enjoy upbeat sets from The Baked Bean Charity DJ Collective to bring festive cheer and a whole lot of fun to The Yards!
Expect singalongs, shared moments and a beautiful showcase of inclusivity and community spirit. From favourites such as “The Greatest Showman” to “Winter Wonderland,” this immersive Christmas experience promises goosebumps and grins in equal measure.
Perfect for all ages to join in, sing along, and feel part of something special.

ST MARTIN’S COURTYARD
Families seeking that quintessential magical Christmas ballet and classical music experience need look no further!
World-renowned harpist Valeria Clarke will create an ethereal soundscape while ballerinas from Pineapple Dance Studios will perform captivating ballet, beneath the cosy glow of The Yards’ spectacular lantern lights installation.
This immersive street-side experience allows visitors to experience the magic of the ballet at Christmas, all without leaving the enchanting Yards atmosphere.

ACROSS MERCER WALK & ST MARTIN’S COURTYARD
We’re ending on a high note with a joyful nod to Guinness’ Irish heritage as we celebrate the exciting arrival of Guinness Open Gate Brewery London to The Yards community!
Featuring the Blag Band’s lively Celtic tunes, Pineapple Dance Studios’ Irish step dancers, and acclaimed harpist-fiddler Maggie Mae Henegan direct from County Mayo, this free event offers everyone the opportunity to be part of this momentous occasion, right outside the brewery itself. From “Whisky in the Jar” to Riverdance-style performances, it’s a night where heritage meets holiday magic.
Feel the rhythm of traditional and modern Irish folk music and watch lively Irish dancing light up the courtyard.

Badiani will be keeping spirits high – offering free tasters of their delectable hot chocolate and special Christmas gelato flavours; Panettone, Pandoro, Mince Pie, Gingerbread, and Eggnog.
